R devel - Sep 2001 - lab does not work (PR#1094)

It seems that the "lab" paramter of plot does not work as desired.

plot(sin)
plot(sin,lab=c(5,5,5))
plot(sin,lab=c(10,10,5))

all give the same plot.

Not a bug. lab is not among the parameters that you can set in a
high-level plot (see the help page for par()). What you can do
is set it with a par() call before calling plot, i.e.

par(lab=c(10,10,5)) ; plot(sin)
