[Bug 710] New: Provide runtime configurable maxelem for all set types, instead of hard-coded 65536
http://bugzilla.netfilter.org/show_bug.cgi?id=710
Summary: Provide runtime configurable maxelem for all set types,
instead of hard-coded 65536
Product: ipset
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P3
Component: default
AssignedTo: netfilter-buglog at lists.netfilter.org
ReportedBy: bugs at mark.ziesemer.com
Estimated Hours: 0.0
Please provide a configurable "maxelem" property for all set types,
instead of
being limited to the hard-coded 65,536 (IPSET_DEFAULT_MAXELEM) defined in
ip_set_hash.h . 2^16 no longer seems like a reasonable limit, especially
considering IPv6 and the increased limits on modern systems. Thanks!

Sorry - missed that this is already supported (missed partially due to bug #
709...).
