https://bugzilla.netfilter.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=118 ------- Additional Comments From laforge@netfilter.org 2003-08-08 09:40 ------- Are you really sure it stops forwarding the packets? Have you verified this with tcpdump/ethereal on the public internet interface? Does /proc/net/ip_conntrack still show the NAT entries? Are you sure you are not just trying to use SNAT with a dynamic IP address? ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.netfilter.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=118 ------- Additional Comments From g.krist@chello.nl 2003-08-08 09:52 ------- First of all I do have static ip. 2nd of all I saw that it closes ports from the outside (i have port 22 open, but then it's closed). And NAT starts to working after some hours too sometimes. So i can't tell you if the nat table is there. The other network connections (samba & dhcp) are just keeping alive. I can ping from the server to inet, but not from the workstation. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

I am sorry, but this has to be something very special in your setup. We've
never had a similar bug report, and lots of people are using netfilter NAT
without the problems you are describing :(
Without any further information/debugging (i.e. tcpdump packet logs, dumps of
/proc/net/ip_conntrack before/after the connections don't work anymore), I
cannot see any way we could possibly help you.
