I know 4.x is outdated and all that, and soon to be unsupported (probably very much unsupported already) but I thought I'd post anyway. I'm not ready to move to 5 / 6. I just got this panic while copying an old website to a new folder via samba, deleting it again (didn't quite work as expected you see), and then trying to use 'vi' over ssh to edit apache config file. It seemed to panic as soon as I hit enter for the vi command. ---- (root@bone)/usr/home/crash# uname -a FreeBSD bone.bone.servebeer.com 4.11-STABLE FreeBSD 4.11-STABLE #0: Thu Mar 16 08:35:46 GMT 2006 mrboo@bone.bone.servebeer.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/BONE i386 (root@bone)/usr/home/crash# gdb -k /kernel.debug vmcore.3 GNU gdb 4.18 (FreeBSD) Copyright 1998 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
