ahci(4) + zfs chksum error with Marvell SATA controller
Hi all, I have a problem about ahci(4) and zfs. I'm using a mother board, ASUS P8Z68-V PRO which has two AHCI controllers, and these are Intel Cougar Point AHCI SATA controller and Marvell 88SE9172 AHCI SATA controller. In addition, I connected a HighPoint RocketRAID 620 to PCI-Express x 1 slot of the M/B. I attach dmesg and pciconf -lvb. The Intel Cougar Point controller works without any problem. However, Marvell 88SE9172 and HighPoint RocketRAID 620 are very unstable. Marvell 88SE9172 and HighPoint Rocket 620 behave almost same. Then ZFS checksum errors often occur on disks connected to HighPoint and Marvell. The error does not occur when I connect the same disk to the Intel controller. In the following case, the pool zp2 is configured with the disks connected to HighPoint controller. Other pools are connected to Intel controller. As shown below, any READ and WRITE errors have never occurred. However, checksum errors occur very often. I suspect ahci(4) driver. But I have no idea how to fix it.
