hello douglas,
instiki should run on your ubuntu installation as well if you
  * install ruby on ubuntu
  * have NTFS write access
you might want to take a look at
just go to your directory where instiki is located and try to run "./ 
instiki". this also accesses the same config files, so your data  
should be the same on both operating systems.
