problem with iwi driver in 8.0 and custom kernel (works on generic)

(i've tried to compile kernel with/without optimizations which you will find commented out in the configuration attached to the mail, obtaining always the same interrupt storm problem.) thanks regards ocean

Once booted, can you show the output of "vmstat -i"? Also, can you post a verbose dmesg somewhere? It might also be useful to re-add things back into the kernel, and figure out which device removal actually triggers this. Gavin
