freebsd stable - Dec 2006 - 2G+ KVA on mad64

Can FreeBSD/amd64 support more than 2G+ KVA ?
Is it safe to set KPDPI to (NPDPEPG-4) in /sys/amd64/include/pmap.h
to get 4G KVA ?
