Hello, I just discovered that the DRM drivers have been updated and my 855GM is now supported by i915.ko. If I load the module, the driver attaches: drmsub1: <Intel i852GM/i855GM GMCH> mem 0xe8000000-0xefffffff,0xfaf00000-0xfaf7ffff at device 2.1 on pci0 info: [drm] AGP at 0xf0000000 128MB info: [drm] Initialized i915 1.2.0 20041217 But when I start X.org (xorg-server-6.8.99.903), it says: drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (No such file or directory) drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (No such file or directory) drmOpenDevice: Open failed drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (No such file or directory) drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (No such file or directory) drmOpenDevice: Open failed The problem is easily spotted, as there is only /dev/dri/card1.
