I've got a very unusual problem running a bind caching name server on AMD64. I've tried FreeBSD-5.4-p1 and 5.4-STABLE and nothing has helped. Named goes into a "crash" state once hit hits approx 120M of memory in use, at which point it chews 100% cpu and doesn't respond to any futher queries. If anyone has any idea on how I can fix this it would be much appreciated as it's a production system. The folliowing are the relevant config details ... system details FreeBSD zeus 5.4-STABLE FreeBSD 5.4-STABLE #0: Fri May 27 08:50:14 EST 2005 root@zeus:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/ZEUS amd64 dmesg Copyright (c) 1992-2005 The FreeBSD Project.
