[Libguestfs] ANN: libguestfs on Debian and Ubuntu
I've deleted most of the Debian and Ubuntu binaries that were previously here, because they were old and not being updated: http://libguestfs.org/download/binaries/ For Debian, please use Hilko's packages: squeeze: http://people.debian.org/~bengen/libguestfs/ wheeze and up: [available as a regular Debian package] For Ubuntu we still don't have good packages available. You could try the Debian packages, or build from source using the "fixed appliance" which is pretty simple: ./configure --disable-appliance --disable-daemon make sudo make install # download the latest appliance from # http://libguestfs.org/download/binaries/appliance/ xzcat appliance-*.tar.xz | tar xvf - export LIBGUESTFS_PATH=/path/to/the/appliance # then run libguestfs tools as normal For Ubuntu 10.04 only you will need to install some backports, and patch libguestfs sources, see: http://libguestfs.org/download/binaries/ubuntu1004-packages/ Rich. -- Richard Jones, Virtualization Group, Red Hat http://people.redhat.com/~rjones New in Fedora 11: Fedora Windows cross-compiler.
