CentOS - Dec 2007 - LVM2: large volume problem?

Hi all,

   I'm having problems to create/resize an lv up to 1T (well I can't
reach 300G),
my system is a CentOS 5.1 x86_64 on a Dell 2950 with 6x500G SATA (RAID5 to
aprox. 2.5T)


[root at Mugello ~]# fdisk -l

  When I try to create a 1T lv it gives me this error:

[root at Mugello ~]# lvcreate -L1T -nstor sys
  device-mapper: reload ioctl failed: Argumento inv??lido
  Failed to activate new LV.

  and on /var/log/messages I had this:

   the lv is created:

   but is unusable:

Could not stat /dev/sys/stor --- Arquivo ou diret??rio n??o encontrado

The device apparently does not exist; did you specify it correctly?

mkfs.ext3: Device size reported to be zero.  Invalid partition specified, or
        partition table wasn't reread after running fdisk, due to
        a modified partition being busy and in use.  You may need to reboot
        to re-read your partition table.

  If I try with a small size (less than 300G) it works well:

[root at Mugello ~]# lvcreate -L100G -nstor sys
  Logical volume "stor" created
[root at Mugello ~]# lvs
  LV   VG   Attr   LSize   Origin Snap%  Move Log Copy% 
  root sys  -wi-ao   4,00G                              
  stor sys  -wi-a- 100,00G

 What can I try to do to create an lv with 1T??
