I have been going nuts for two days, and now I have peanut butter!
I used to be able to setup a samba server on redhat 7.1 in about 11
clicks via webin. Now with 7.2 no luck.
It turns out that by default when you install redhat 7.2 it sets up the
firewall services for nothing in-nothing out. Hence I can ping the
samba server ip, and it turns up on my winnt4 box, but is not
accessible. I deactivate the firewall and bingo!
All my directories and printers.
Try it if you have a similar problem.
best, kevin
