samba - Jan 2002 - problems with win2000-clients, samba 2.2.1a and rom. profiles

hi list,

I?ve a server with kernel 2.4.10 and samba 2.2.1a using rom. profiles
for my 10 win 2000 sp1 clients.
sometimes when loging on the server the client says that he can?t reach
the server and uses instead the local profile.
perhaps the network (10Mbit) is overload when all 10 users try to log in
at the same time?
I just don?t know any other reason, because these errors happen not
always at the same time or client.
I noticed that loging off and immediately on can cause this error, too.
Is the hardware of the server a reason?
I use a P II-333 with 64MB, 20GB HDD.
