I recently installed the latest 2.2.0 rpms for Redhat 6.2 on my linux box. However, after installation, I attempted to connect to: http:10.0.0.50:901/ and I receive an error message stating that the website is not available. If I telnet to the port, I an connected, but I am not certain how to confirm or deny that I should be able to recieve pages (I don't even see a username/password prompt). I have confirmed the existance of 'swat' in /etc/services with a value of 901, and in /etc/inetd.conf pointing to /usr/sbin/swat. How do I debug this problem? According to the swat man page, there are only two options to pass to swat, and neither turns on debugging! Two things 1) Make sure the right entries are in /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf (See samba docs). 2) cd /usr/share/samba ln -s /usr/share/swat swat (link /usr/share/samba/swat to /usr/share/swat) That fixed it for me. -----Original Message----- From: samba-admin@lists.samba.org [mailto:samba-admin@lists.samba.org]On Behalf Of Anthony Brock Sent: Tuesday, May 01, 2001 7:35 PM To: samba@lists.samba.org Subject: Unable to use SWAT ...
