We have begun to use samba over the last few months and have run into a problem. We currently have users on Win2000 workstations that are accessing their files Sun server running samba. The network operating system for the Win2000 boxes is currently Novell but will be moving to Win2000 Server. The users have occasion to move files from their home directory into another samba share which can be accessed by multiple users and groups. Although they have 775 permissions on the unix side, they are not able to change the permissions through the windows side to allow all users to have write access. They are given with a windows error saying that there is no access to change permissions. How can this be done? Stan York
