samba - Mar 2001 - Access denied.

Dear users

I got this msg accessing s share:

server:~# smbclient '\\localhost\Adm1' -U gabriela
Added interface ip=192.168.0.254 bcast=192.168.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Password:
Domain=[EQUATORIAL] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 2.0.5a]
smb: \> put lixo2
ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access denied.) opening remote file \lixo2

The smb.conf says

[Adm1]
        comment = Adm-Financeiro
        path = /home/adm1
        valid users = ghizoni,gabriela,cris
        write list = ghizoni,gabriela,cris
        read only = No
        wide links = No

What am I doing wrong?

It may be problematic to use xxx.254 as Interface. Instead use
anything between xxx.1 and xxx.253

Have you set up the user on your machine running samba and made an smbpasswd
additionally?
