samba - Feb 2001 - Question On Remote access

Question on samba 2.07. I am running Solaris 2.7 with
NIS and I use the NIS for Password authentication,  I
am looking at setting up a RAS server using NT will it
be able to use the NIS server to verify the users?
Just let me know if any one has tried this.

NIS will only be used to authorize a user to connect a
network drive. NT knows nothing about the NIS users.
If you want to authenticate NT users via NIS you need
something like NIS-GINA for NT.
