samba - Feb 2001 - Authentication + NDS

Is there any way to have Samba authenticate against a Novell server (or more
specifically against NDS?)  We're a more or less pure NDS environment except
for our Samba box, and it'd be nice if we didn't have to maintain two
completely separate password systems.

PAM (presuming your using a PAM supported environment) might get you
somewhere.  You would still need the local accounts though.  See if you
can find a PAM module to authenticate against your NDS server.
