This is what I did.
Install Bind 9 and DHCP 3 (both can be found on www.isc.org)
Whenever one of your PC's ask's for a IP address it's updated
to your DNS server, straigh away.
So de-install the DHCP server on your SMC box and install it on
your Linux server. Set up your config and off you go!
If you are sure that your SMC box can update your DNS you can
leave at alone, check it out..
This is the situation at home and in the office. Runs reliable for over
several weeks now.
