Joe Pfaltzgraff@PATAPSCO 02/01/2001 08:44 AM Is there a way in windows to map a drive and have it added to you path, similiar to the way you can map a novell drive as a search drive? I realize that this isn't really pertaining to samba, but I thought if any one would know and be willing to help, it would be someone here. Thanks! Joe Pfaltzgraff IT Dept. Patapsco Designs, Inc.
Go to a DOS prompt and type 'NET USE /? | MORE' on a win9x machine or 'NET USE ?' on an NT machine for info on how to map the drive. After you map it, add it to the path... -----Original Message----- From: Joe_Pfaltzgraff@patapsco.com [mailto:Joe_Pfaltzgraff@patapsco.com] Sent: Thursday, February 01, 2001 7:45 AM To: samba@samba.org Subject: Search drives Joe Pfaltzgraff@PATAPSCO 02/01/2001 08:44 AM Is there a way in windows to map a drive and have it added to you path, similiar to the way you can map a novell drive as a search drive? Joe Pfaltzgraff@PATAPSCO 02/01/2001 01:30 PM Unfortunately that will only add it to the path for that dos session, once you close the dos session, the path is reset... I was wondering if there is a way to add it to the path permanently? Use a logon script and the path will be permanent. -----Original Message----- From: Joe_Pfaltzgraff@patapsco.com [mailto:Joe_Pfaltzgraff@patapsco.com] Sent: Thursday, February 01, 2001 12:31 PM To: samba@samba.org Cc: McEldowney, Michael Subject: RE: Search drives Joe Pfaltzgraff@PATAPSCO 02/01/2001 01:30 PM Unfortunately that will only add it to the path for that dos session, once you close the dos session, the path is reset...
