I have installed samba-2.0.7 on a Solaris 2.6 server. I am trying to set it so it will allow a PC to be able to browse the contents of the machine, without propting for a user/password. I have samba installed on 4 other machines, and all of these are fine. I can not find anything different in the smb.conf. At the moment, when you try to browse the contents of this machine it asks you for a username and password, and then won't accept anything you type in. Also when I try the smbclient command this is what i get: # ./smbclient //rental-ultra10/john -U john added interface ip=195.217.131.151 bcast=195.217.131.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 Password: session setup failed: ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access denied.) # ./smbclient //rental-ultra10/john -U john added interface ip=195.217.131.151 bcast=195.217.131.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 Password: Anonymous login successful Domain=[rental-ultr_dom] OS=[UNIX 5.7 Generic_106541-08] Server=[SunLink Server] tree connect failed: ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access denied.) Any ideas would be greatly appriciated JP _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
