Hi All, Here's an interesting one... I need to be able to connect smbclient on a linux machine to a dos based machine, which is running MSCLIENT and the WG1049 patch. I can browse to the machine and see all the files from Network Neighbourhood in Windows, but if I try and go in with: smbclient \\GAUGE1\C, or even just smbclient -L GAUGE1 all I get is: Added interface ip=10.0.1.1 bcast=10.255.255.255 nmask=255.0.0.0 Got a positive name query response from 10.0.1.123 ( 10.0.1.123 ) Password: tree connect failed: ERRSRV - ERRerror (Non-specific error code.) with -d 3 on the smbclient command line, I get: Added interface ip=10.0.1.1 bcast=10.255.255.255 nmask=255.0.0.0 Client started (version 2.0.5a). resolve_name: Attempting lmhosts lookup for name GAUGE1<0x20> startlmhosts: Can't open lmhosts file /usr/local/samba/lib/lmhosts. I've tried this with Samba v2.0.5a on SCO Openserver 5.0.4c, and with v2.0.7 on Linux, and I get the same results for both. Any Ideas?
