I have a problem I hope someone can help with. We are using samba for over a month and have been having no trouble. The other day I changed the IP address on the other side of our firewall as well as the ISP assigned DNS address. I then made the changes on the DHCP server so that all the clients (mixed Win95 and 98) would have the new address. Since then samba has been down. It seems that the clients can't see samba anymore. They can all ping the server and I tried all the diagnostics listed in the included documentation. Smbclient and nmblookup all work properly on the server so it seems that the clients now can't see samba. I made no other changes and double checked the DHCP info and it's correct. The clients all have the correct WINS address but can't see it. I have tried everything I can think of on both the client and server sides but I don't know what's wrong. It seems that the server is working properly but the clients can't see it. I even tried turning off NetBIOS over DNS but it didn't do any good. Anything else I might try? The network is down now and it needs to back up as soon as possible. - _______________________________________________ Kourosh Ghassemieh MindWare Information Systems & Technologies 9255 Sunset Blvd, Penthouse West Hollywood CA 90069 (310) 729-1784, (310) 271-9807 fax kourosh@loop.com ++++++Networking the Small Business++++++
