Hi! I use MS-Client for pre-Windows 95 computers to use shares on my Linux boxes, but also to serve their disks to everyone else. This used to work, but I gradually upgraded and problems arose. This afternoon, I wanted to use smbclient to access a share on the Dos-computer, it gave listings of what was there, but I couldnt retrieve any file. Mounting didn't work either, because I still had the utilities for 2.0-kernel installed, so I installed the new one (slackware package for samba 2.0.3) and now smbclient doesnt even open the share on that dos computer. Is this a known problem? (previous version 1.9.18p8 I think). I've included "output", which is a dump of smbclient -D a, and "output2", output of dmesg (first attempt to dos computer, then successfull attempt to windows 95 computer, then dos computer again). And err, I tried with samba 1.9.0, works perfectly. This can't be right.
