I have a Samba share that is used by 3 users running a FoxPro 2.5 application. They all use the same databases. I seem to occasionally run into a file read error reported. the share (venlink) uses a NFS mounted drive (I have not turned on NIS which is why am forcing UIDs and GIDs). I am running Samba 2.0.0 Here is the relevent part of smb.conf [venlink] comment = Venlink path = /mnt/venlink valid users = chrisb,venlink1,venlink2,venlink3 admin users = chrisb,venlink1,venlink2,venlink3 public = no browsable = no force user = 472 writeable = yes read only = no force create mode = 0666 force group = 132 preserve case = no short preserve case = no default case = lower fake oplocks = yes TIA C.
