Concept question: In my configuration of 2 samba servers on remote segments; does a smbclient on one segment use the SSL (if configured) between the samba server to a client/server share on the remote segment. I think not, they do directed communication to the machine with the share. Thus bypassing the local sever after it gets the reference. The SSL is for the SAMBA to SAMBA information transmition. I will need to go to a VPN router or Linux / Solaris proxy get the communications protected. Any other options? ----------------------------------------------------------- Richard Neale Data Ace Inc. v: (408) 732-2683 f: (408) 732-2683 Richard.Neale@DataAce.Com
