ANNOUNCE: nbfw - transparent browsing from/to masqueraded hosts
Nbfw is a add-on for Samba which makes it possible for hosts behind a masquerading firewall to participate in the 'Network Neighbourhood'. Its main features are: * transparent browsing for masqueraded hosts * masqueraded hosts can be browsed transparently In order to use nbfw you need to have: * time to read the manual * working ip-masquerade * working Samba * transparent proxy support (if you use wins) * ipportfw support (if you want masqueraded hosts to be browsed) As the features already indicate the nbfw package consists of two parts: First there is the nmbdnbfw, a nmbd which is responsible for rewriting the ip addresses in data of netbios name service packets and announcing your masqueraded hosts to the world. Second there is the smbdnbfw, a smbd which is able to redirect session requests to your masqueraded hosts. The current version of nbfw is 0.27 and can be downloaded from: http://malt-whisky.student.utwente.nl/nbfw/ Jasper
