Did anyone resolve this problem?
I only realised how slow this was for me when installing netscape
off a network drive crawled from a NT Workstation (SP3) compared
to a W95 box.
Redhat 5.1, samba-1.9.18p10-51.1
Only option I have is TCP_NODELAY
