samba - Sep 1998 - samba do not preserve case

Have you tried "short preserve case" ?

The default is "short preserve case = no" for file names that conform
to the 8.3 format. This will convert file names to the "default case".
See "default case" option in the smb.conf man page.

I have installed samba-1.9.18p8 on Linux server. it is 
visible in Win95 system but when i copy a file from 
Win95 to its samba shared home directory. Samba 
copies it successfully but do not preserve the case 
i.e it converts name of the file  to smaller case in Linux 
system. While when i copy files from Linux to Win95 it 
preserves the case.

I tried with preserve case = yes in smb.conf but not 
succeeded

My problem was solved by applying both the preserve case and short preserve
case. i removed other options like case sensitive,
 manged names, and mangled case.
