YES! I finally got it compiled! Now the other errors start coming! When I type "nmblookup" with 'it-doesn't-mather-what' I've got the following error: (I've tried my system-name -scosysv2- and stuff, but NOTHING...) Get_Hostbyname: Unknown host scosysv2. Unable to open socket to get broadcast address Added interface ip=0.0.0.0 bcast=0.0.0.0 nmask=255.0.0.0 Get_Hostbyname: Unknown host scosysv2. Get_Hostbyname: Unknown host. And this is what I find in the var/log.smb - file Incorrect program usage - are you sure the command line is correct? Get_Hostbyname: Unknown host scosysv2. Global parameter interfaces found in service section! Get_Hostbyname: Unknown host scosysv2. Unable to open socket to get broadcast address Added interface ip=98.0.109.97 bcast=4.2.0.0 mask=255.0.0.0 standard input is not a socket, assuming -D option Get_Hostbyname: Unknown host. scosysv2 So, what's in your smb.conf - file? Well: not that much: workgroup=MTB [homes] guest ok = no read only = no --> That's what I've found in the Smb-book.... So: what's my problem? Maybe somebody can just send me an smb.conf - file...
