Hi,
CONFIGURATION:
the important part of my setup looks like that (smb.conf):
[global]
interfaces = net1 net2 net3 net4 net0
; this is a router which acts as cross-subnet domain master + wins
; server
local master = yes
preferred master = yes
domain master = yes
wins support = yes
dns proxy = no
os level = 99
net1 - net4 are Win95, WinNT, Linux
net0 are two samba-1.9.18p1 fileservers
PROBLEM:
log.nmb reports elections happening all the time, but only on net4
(which is the last one with windows clients in the "interfaces" line).
Strange thing is: some errors are reported (ignoring browse packet
command code 11), and some elections are lost, which should not
happen with the above setting.
Also, there are absolutely NO reports about net1-net3 and net0 (not
even sync browse lists) and cross-subnet browsing is lost on net4.
Only net1-net3 and net0 work like expected.
When I exchange net1 and net4 in the interfaces line, the same
happens with net1. (net1 has all elections and errors going on, and
net4 reports nothing).
The problem arose when installing 1.9.18p1. Previous version was
1.9.17p4. I am almost about to re-install the old version.
Have I missed something or is this a bug ?
