I have just upgraded from 1.9.16p8 to 1.9.17p1. After this upgrade, I began to to this message in the nmbd log file: reply_netbios_packet: r_a not to be used when not a WINS server This same message is repeated about every minute. Any ideas? I am also having the problem that nmbd does not seem to want to become a logon server. Any ideas on this one? The smbstatus program gives information about running smbd daemons. It seems that it would be useful to have a similar nmbstatus program. Just my $.02 worth. Server: DEC Alpha machine running OSF/1 V4.0.
