rsync - Jan 2003 - Differential Back-ups

Hi.
        There are a backup softwae called vbackup (down by name 
colision) that makes:

    Full backup:
        create new  date directory with a full copy of all files and 
directories
    Next backups:
        create a new date directory with for each file/directory:
                a hard link for each file/dir unchanged fromlast date 
directory
                a new full file for all file/dir changed
   
    yes, all date directories must stay on same file system.

    Maybe these are good todo for rsync & backup  solution...
