[Fedora-xen] fedora core 6 xen not able to bring up X server:monitor blinks infinitely
My machine configuration is P4 1GB RAM, 40 GB HDD and COMPAQ SVGA monitor. I have installed fedor core 6 xen in my machine X server is not coming up with 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6xen kernel. xorg.conf is using i810 driver with depth = 24 Fedora Core 6 is installed successfully in graphical mode When booting, system switches automatically to run level 3. When i try startx or X or system-config-display , the monitor goes blank and monitor LED continues to blink infinitely Few people have faced asimilar problem but i''m not able to find a solution for it on the Net. Any suggestion would be really appreciated... Thanks....

It does this even if Xorg.conf is removed altogether. It will also start just fine with the non-xen kernel, as it did with the xen kernel that was in the original FC6. It''s been like this since some time in October. I''d also like to know the solution. MGA550/x86 in my case. Have you installed the NVidia published drivers from freshrpms or another repository that RPM bundles them?

Just doesn''t seem to work any more.> > Any suggestion would be really appreciated...-- bill davidsen <davidsen@tmr.com> CTO TMR Associates, Inc Doing interesting things with small computers since 1979
