Hi all, following Howto wine printing I setup wine to print with Postcript drivers and it does'nt work. Running Notepad with -debugmsg +winspool give me following infos: (Printer is working well with cups. Wine version is 20011004 self compiled.) in sytem.reg section [...\\Windows4.0\\Drivers\\PS Driver] I have "Data file" = "<datafile?>" Is this the problem? So I guess that you did not try to print when you dumped this Wine trace on disk...It would be better also to use -debugmsg +winspool,+psdrv - but maybe it would make the trace too big for a news group message : in this case setup the trace on a web page. Hi! I need to print in Wine but I can?t. I have a debian woody, with KDE 2, wine (with winesetup package) 20011004, cups and kups. I tried to print in a network printer (laserjet with axis card), I print in a aplication, and the windows dialog box says: Name: axis1 (my printer) Status: Ready Where: bla, bla,... Comment: WINEPS Printer using CUPS I can change the properties of my printer. I press Ok, no errors, but the printer do nothing. my win.ini is: [windows] device=axis1,WINEPS,LPR:axis1 [devices] axis1=WINEPS,LPR:axis1 and my wineconf is: WINE REGISTRY Version 2 ;; All keys relative to \\Machine\\Software\\Wine\\Wine\\Config ;; ;; MS-DOS drives configuration ;; ;; Each section has the following format: ;; [Drive X] ;; "Path"="xxx" (Unix path for drive root) ;; "Type"="xxx" (supported types are 'floppy', 'hd', 'cdrom' and 'network') ;; "Label"="xxx" (drive label, at most 11 characters) ;; "Serial"="xxx" (serial number, 8 characters hexadecimal number) ;; "Filesystem"="xxx" (supported types are 'msdos'/'dos'/'fat', 'win95'/'vfat', 'unix') ;; This is the FS Wine is supposed to emulate on a certain ;; directory structure. ;; Recommended: ;; - "win95" for ext2fs, VFAT and FAT32 ;; - "msdos" for FAT16 (ugly, upgrading to VFAT driver strongly recommended) ;; DON'T use "unix" unless you intend to port programs using Winelib ! ;; "Device"="/dev/xx" (only if you want to allow raw device access) ;; [Drive A] "Type" = "floppy" "Path" = "/floppy" "Label" = "/floppy" "Device" = "/dev/fd0" [Drive C] "Path" = "/home/pepe4/.wine/fake_windows" "Type" = "hd" "Label" = "/home/pepe4/.wine/fake_windows" "Filesystem" = "win95" [Drive M] "Type" = "cdrom" "Path" = "/cdrom" "Label" = "/cdrom" "FS" = "win95" "Device" = "/dev/hdd" [Drive X] "Type" = "hd" "Path" = "/tmp" "Label" = "Tmp Drive" "FS" = "win95" [Drive Y] "Type" = "network" "Path" = "${HOME}" "Label" = "Home" "FS" = "win95" [Drive Z] "Type" = "network" "Path" = "/" "Label" = "Root" "FS" = "win95" [wine] "Windows" = "C:\\Windows" "System" = "C:\\Windows\\System" "Temp" = "X:\\" "Path" = "C:\\Windows;C:\\Windows\\System;X:\\;Y:\\" "GraphicsDriver" = "x11drv" ; Wine doesn't pass directory symlinks to Windows programs by default. ; Enabling this may crash some programs that do recursive lookups of a whole ; subdir tree in case of a symlink pointing back to itself. ;"ShowDirSymlinks" = "1" "ShellLinker" = "wineshelllink" # <wineconf> [DllOverrides] ; default for all other dlls "*" = "builtin, native, so" [x11drv] ; Number of colors to allocate from the system palette "AllocSystemColors" = "100" ; Use a private color map "PrivateColorMap" = "N" ; Favor correctness over speed in some graphics operations "PerfectGraphics" = "N" ; Color depth to use on multi-depth screens ;;"ScreenDepth" = "16" ; Name of X11 display to use ;;"Display" = ":0.0" ; Allow the window manager to manage created windows "Managed" = "Y" ; Use a desktop window of 640x480 for Wine "Desktop" = "N" ; Use XFree86 DGA extension if present ; (make sure /dev/mem is accessible by you !)
