wine users - Aug 2001 - Wine won't install

hi, when I open the folder and click on install it opens a strange text file
that says

#use this program to install wine

I am new to linux PLEASE help me

Read the installation documentation on www.winehq.com.  You will probably
want to do things via the command line, which is typical with linux as of
today.  You may want to search the net for some linux basics to get
familiar with the os.
