Hi, which is the way to run dos programs under wine? I tried to find out reading a lot of wine documentation. Also I tried wine <dosprogram> or dosmod <dosprogram> without having success. Can someone help? -- Gruss Marcus Marcus Roeckrath -- Vikarsbusch 8 -- D-48308 Senden -- Germany Phone : +49-2536-9944 -- Mailer/BBS/Fax : +49-2536-9943 (V34, X75) FidoNet: 2:2449/523 E-Mail : marcus.roeckrath@gmx.de WWW : http://home.foni.net/~marcusroeckrath/
I was told WINE does not run DOS programs (for some very good reasons.) Use dosemu, now past version 1.0 (stable.) It works very well for me; it can really be called quite peppy. Of course VMWare and Win4Lin will run a dosbox. Hi, BillEBadd@operamail.com wrote on Mit, 28 Mär 2001 about Re: wine dosmode> I was told WINE does not run DOS programs (for some very > good reasons.)Why is there an dosmod binary?> Use dosemu, now past version 1.0 (stable.) But I do have one mathematical program (derive for dos; the modern win versions will not run under wine) which switches between text- and graficsmode so that I wanted to give it a try under wine. -- Gruss Marcus Marcus Roeckrath -- Vikarsbusch 8 -- D-48308 Senden -- Germany Phone : +49-2536-9944 -- Mailer/BBS/Fax : +49-2536-9943 (V34, X75) FidoNet: 2:2449/523 E-Mail : marcus.roeckrath@gmx.de WWW : http://home.foni.net/~marcusroeckrath/
