[Pkg-xen-devel] XenServer and Debian 5.0 64 bit guest
Hello, we start to look for virtualization purposes XenServer wich states to support Debian 5.0 but only for 32 bit guest, and there is no 64 bit guest support. As from Citrix XenServer team information this is problem of Debian kernel. Is there any chans this situation to be fixed ? The issue here is that the Debian installer does not include a variant which uses a Xen-compatible kernel which is in turn because there was no support in the pvops kernel for 64 bit the 2.6.26 which is what Lenny uses.> Is there any chans this situation to be fixed ?This is fixed already in Squeeze. The nature of the changes is such that backporting to Lenny is extremely unlikely. Ian. -- Ian Campbell Counting in octal is just like counting in decimal--if you don't use your thumbs. -- Tom Lehrer
