Logcheck devel - May 2005 - Bug#304978: logcheck: wrong permissions

I get the same error with 1.2.39 in testing. The problem is that 
/var/lock/logcheck has permissions:

drwxr-xr-x  2 root     root 48 Apr 19 17:58 logcheck

I dont know why, because it should be changed in the postinst ...

did you try to reinstall logcheck
apt-get --reinstall install logcheck

yep, and that didnt work. nor aptitude reinstall logcheck.

I solved it with:
dpkg -P logcheck
apt-get install logcheck

maybe apt-get --purge --reinstall install logcheck works?
I dont know since now it is working :)
