Here?s a link to a page that manually does this. http://blog.asteriskguide.com/bandcalc/bandcalc.php The general rule of thumb is that * uses 6-30Kb per SIP/IAX channel depending on the codec. If you wanted a good live estimate, you could write an AGI that uses ?Asterisk ?rx ?core show channels? ? plus sip.conf to give a statistical load representation every x seconds. _____ From: asterisk-users-bounces at lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces at lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Bayardo Sanchez Sent: Wednesday, January 21, 2009 10:01 AM To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: [asterisk-users] Need Help i need a program for monitorin my bandwitch of my asterisk server -- Bayardo S?nchez Garc?a Web Developer - Internet Portals Linux User: #418392 Ubuntu User #14171 America Central - Managua, NI (505) 249-2853 - 4886876 IM msn messenger: bjsanchezg at hotmail.com Skype: bayardo.sanchez This email is intended solely for the person or organization to which it is addressed. I might suggest downloading the newest "rate" package independently and just use it standalone. It uses standard "tcpdump" BPF notation, so anyone familiar with tshark or tcpdump should be able to run it from the command line to filter on whatever traffic they want and it can put out second-by-second bandwidth usage on that set of intercepted packets (or summaries.) http://s-tech.elsat.net.pl/bmtools/ JT --- John Todd email:jtodd at digium.com Digium, Inc. | Asterisk Open Source Community Director 445 Jan Davis Drive NW - Huntsville AL 35806 - USA direct: +1-256-428-6083 http://www.digium.com/
