Hello and sorry for the OT, Is it possible for a wireless headset of which the base is connected to a Polycom IP601 to remotely answer a call? In the same way as a bluetooth headset. thanks,

Some of the polycom phones support this with a specific firmware and Plantronics headset. Read the polycom SIP release notes/changelog for details.... [asterisk-users] [OT] wireless headphone that can answer a call?
A long time ago, I used to have a desktop support role. I had a Plantronics wireless headset that actually had a transmitter, and an arm controlled by a servo that would lift the handset out of the cradle. It was crude, but worked great. I am sure there are much better integrated solutions now though. [asterisk-users] [OT] wireless headphone that can answer a call?
Lately I've been offering these stuff to a customer; a valid solution is the one provided by Jabra with their DECT headset (see http://www.jabra.com/Sites/Jabra/UK-UK/products/Pages/JabraGN9330.aspx ) and a "electronic lifter" as the one for the Snom phones here ( http://www.snom.com/en/adapter0.html ) that can make the headset answer remotely (otherwise you should press the "headset" button on your device). If you want to avoid a mecanical lifter, the only option I know of is a Jabra GN9350 with a Polycom EHS (electronic hookswitch) cable. It came out only a month ago I believe. I use one, and wouldn't give it up for the world.
