wine users - Jun 2006 - Using Hebrew in wine- any solutions?

I have successfully installed and run ListPro and ie6 in wine. English
typing works as expected, however, whenever I try to type in Hebrew I
get the letter Kuf ? for each letter that I type. This is the letter
that corresponds to the E key on the keyboard, if that matters. What
must I do to enable regular Hebrew typing? I am on a Kubuntu 5.10 box.

Dagesh once worked in Wine. Has not in a while, unfortunately.

When it did work, you left the keyboard icon on US and let Dagesh handle the 
keyboards.

Winecfg probably should (does?) have a character set, keyboard setting, 
globally and per app.
