asterisk users - Jul 2007 - ExternalIVR() broken in 1.4.9?

Hello,

  After upgrading to 1.4.9 the above function does not work anymore; it claims
that "child went away" while the child is probably not born at all...

  Before I open a bug on it, anyone has a clue?
