Hi,
I am looking for the best browser &/or browser program to be
able to have most plug-ins installed without having to use one browser for one
type and another browser for another type of plug-in. Such is the case with
Linux Firefox, which does not support shockwave & Wine IEs4 which I am
having trouble installing Java.
Can anyone help?

If so, Suns JRE should install just fine, and works fine in IE. You need to first set the environment variable WINEPREFIX. Something like: export WINEPREFIX="/home/dclark/.ies4linux/ie6" Then just run the JRE installer with the normal command. wine j2re-1_4_2_12-windows-i586-p.exe
Try Opera 9.0 is excelent. Session saving, REAL tabbed navigation. 100% configurable or skinable. Works fine. I am using the same configurations files since opera 6.0 !!!!
