It was going to happen sooner or later -- at least this will encourage more people to get into 1.4 so that the nagging bugs can be sorted out. I think its a fair decision . 1.2 is very stable and they are not closing it all together , security issues will still be fixed . They need to concentrate more on 1.4 to make it bugfree . Agreed.. I think we need to freeze 1.2.x in a stable release.. right now there are too many bugs in it to be considered stable.
