SV: [Asterisk-Users] How to configure NOKIA N70 with Asterisk?
Hello I work at a Nokia repair centre, and done some investigating into this. Seems the E series is suited for voip over sip. I have testet E60 my self with asterisk, at it works well. The N series with WLAN has the sip options and internet telephony in the phonebook, but they have disabled the actual module for voip. We have tried several software versions etc. If anyone have been able to get it working on any N series, I would like to know the model and software version (*#0000# on the keypad.) The phone does not work with NAT as far as I found out, but I need more testing on that. Also only been able to get it working with alaw codec, at least not gsm, but not tried many others yet. Hi Friends, How are you all? I have a doubt. Can I configure my NOKIA N70 mobile phone with Asterisk? If I configure with Asterisk, I can able to use my NOKIA N70 Mobile as a hard phone. Looking forward to your response. Thank you. Regards, Chandra. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! If it could stay connected it would have the potential to replace all standard telephones at my place. Amund, since you work with Nokia you might know this: Is there a website somewhere that shows what the latest Nokia software versions are? Sounds like my problem could be fixed by a software update. jens

We have 3 access points here atm, i wished voip on the Nokia phones could use access groups but seems not. Therefore I have created 3 profiles, one for each wlan access points. It has very low delay before it unregistires from one, and registers to a new one. Since we use queues the customer will only have a slightly longer waiting time. But it works. Does your N70 have wlan? Mine sure doesn't ^^ If you have N80 I would very much liked to know the software version, since the voip part is disabled on the one I have here. Anyone that have any remedies for that? /Olle What do you mean by "while I'm still in the office" ? Do you mean, N70's range is so short that it becomes useless or that it fails to register itself regularly ? Regards -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
