asterisk users - Apr 2006 - not transmit audio on sipura 941

Has any one had an issue (or better yet a fix) to a sipura 941 with almost
no handset sound.
I have checked all the settings and they are identical to another working
sipura 941 I have.  I have swapped out the handsets but I can still only get
sounds through if I am really yelling.
The speakphone comes through loud and clear.
Any ideas?
