[Asterisk-Users] Send text to Cisco 7960?
Does anyone know of a way to send arbitrary text to the display of a Cisco 7960 phone? The idea is to pass along CallerID or some other information without actually ringing the phone. I would like for it to appear on the main screen, and not on any others such as Settings or Services. I've played around with the telnet interface and can send digits in the test mode, and I think the SCCP firmware supports XML push, but I need SIP. On an unrelated note, does any 7960 SIP firmware have the ability to move the Blind Xfer button to the top-level of the soft-buttons instead of buried one level deep... or to pull the speed dial lines from a config file? Thanks in advance, Barton
