asterisk users - Jul 2005 - If voice volume level too low, it is been cut

Hi all,

I am at my first installation of asterisk@home and this works almost out
of the... cd.

When I call phones on PSTN or when people call me and they do not speak
lound enought, all the sound is being cut and I hear nothing.

How can I reduce the *loud level* so that the sound is not cut?

(I use XList/SIP with asterisk@home and an extarnal line... I did no
special config.)
